The 7 Best Fragrance Free K-beauty Products

It’s time to list the best Korean fragrance free products! Whether you have sensitive skin or just don’t like scent in your skin care, shopping for fragrance free products can be an ordeal. Not only do you have to think about your budget, your skin type, and your skin concerns, now you have one more thing to keep in mind!

The skin care community has been divided about the presence of scent in skin care products for a long time. On one hand, this kind of products smell sooo good. Nothing used to make me happier than slathering a beautiful smelling moisturizer all over my face. But on the other hand, a lot of people blame fragrance (particularly essential oils) as an instigator of redness and irritated skin. In some cases people have even experienced allergic reactions and contact dermatitis from certain essential oils!
Team fragrance free? Then you’ve come to the right place. We’ve created a round-up of our top 7 favorite fragrance free K-beauty products. Want to know what they are? Keep reading!

1. Plant Base Time Stop Collagen Ampoule

If you have sensitive skin and have been looking for an anti-aging product, then look no further. This ampoule is free of parabens, artificial fragrance, and mineral oil. It’s formulated for even the most sensitive skin! On top of that, its made with 76.52% collagen that’s extracted from 3 different types of mushrooms. This means it’ll not only help with collagen production, but will reduce the appearance of wrinkles and fine lines. This also means it’s great at firming and rejuvenating the skin, and improving overall elasticity. Other ingredients include panthenol, sodium hyaluronate, and macadamia seed oil, which are all super hydrators, and aloe and Centella which work to soothe irritation and redness.
This ampoule is super lightweight and can be used in your serum step in the 10-step routine, or it can be mixed with an essence, serum, or moisturizer for a fun skin care cocktail. One reader swears on mixing it with her Missha Time Revolution Night Repair New Science Activator Ampoule. If you choose to apply the ampoule by itself, just squeeze a couple drops into the palms of your hands and gently pat it into your skin until it’s all been absorbed!

2. Dr. Oracle A-Thera Tea Tree Peeling Sticks

The Dr Oracle line is amazing because it was founded by dermatologists and is sold in over 70 different clinics. And while the peeling sticks just look like large cotton swabs, they’re a prime example of how the brand combines science, technology, and skin care innovation. Just one stick can help to target clogged pores, blackheads, and even cystic acne. The Q-tip applicator is for precise application, to make sure that targeted spots are hit with a special concentrated acid formula to gently exfoliate.
Right after using it, we recommend putting a pimple patch on top. The AHAs and BHAs in the ingredient list will make the patch work over time so that the targeted blemishes will disappear faster and leave your skin calmer than before. This is especially useful for those hard to get rid of, painful pimples that we all get from time to time.

3. Klairs Supple Preparation Unscented Facial Toner

The OG Klairs Supple Preparation Facial Toner now comes in an unscented version! So if you’ve been tired of missing out on this classic fan fave that works for literally all types of skin and help improve a variety of skin concerns, then get a move on! Not only is the new formula vegan, it still does all the same great things that the old one did. Like what? This toner uses amino acids to help remove excess dirt and sebum and prep your skin to help absorb serums better. What else? It also helps calm irritation with ingredients like licorice root extract and aloe leaf extract.
Not to mention that because the essential oils have been removed, the formula has been improved to absorb faster, have a lighter texture, and have absolutely no fragrance. And did we mention the super cute new packaging with the purple label? Use it after your double cleanse by pouring a small amount onto a cotton pad or directly into your hands.

4. Acwell Licorice pH Balancing Cleansing Toner

This is my holy grail toner. For one, it’s an amazing multitasker. Not only does it tone and balance the skin, but it also cleans and brightens it as well. It has 10% licorice water, which is anti-inflammatory and antibacterial. It works to target skin discoloration, combat early signs of aging, and fight against damaging free radicals and acne-causing bacteria. It also contains a specialized blend of ingredients known as “Puritox.” This blend uses a variety of antioxidant-rich medicinal herbs like peony, perilla, green tea, and kudzu root extract to brighten dull skin and even out your complexion.
Just keep in mind that even though it’s free of any artificial fragrance. all of these ingredients together give this toner a strong herbal scent. But it doesn’t smell processed or chemical at all. In fact, the scent is one of my favorite things about this product. It smells a lot like Chinese medicine. But an even more important factor than scent is how well it works. It leaves my skin clean, plump and glowing! To use, just pour a small amount onto either your hands or a cotton pad and apply it onto your skin by gently patting.

5. Easydew EX Repair Control EGF

If a miracle product were to ever exist it would be the Easydew Repair Control EGF. EGF is a special type of protein that helps to promote cell growth and repair wounds. And this product is formulated with 10ppm of medical grade EGF, the highest concentration of EGF allowed in a cosmetic product! This means that if you’re looking to target wrinkles, hydrate your skin, and fight acne scars at the same time, then this is the product for you! Hello smoother, brighter, and younger-looking skin! And don’t be worried. EGF may sound scary but it’s actually OK for sensitive skin. These products have gone through multiple tests and have been optimized for sensitive skin. EGF is actually a naturally occurring protein in the body, and DW-EGF (the EGF used in Easydew EX products) is designed to function exactly the same way it would if your body was producing it on its own.
Other ingredients in this product include caffeine, ceramides, and sodium hyaluronate, which all work to de-puff and moisturize skin. And argan and macadamia oils to nourish it. Use it after the treatment step of your routine.

6. Benton Tea Tree Cleansing Water

If you’re all about multi-tasking products then you’ll love this tea tree water by Benton. Functioning as both a cleansing water and the first step in the double cleanse, this cleansing water actually stretches far beyond removing stubborn makeup and impurities, and infuses skin with tea tree leaf extract oil in addition to the tea tree water. And in case you didn’t already know, tea tree is most often praised for its acne-fighting abilities that help kill blemish-causing bacteria and soothe inflammation. So on top of everything else, it’s working to stop sebum and pimples from even forming in the first place!
Besides tea tree, this product only has 9 other ingredients, making it great for people with sensitive skin! A lot of other tea tree products can be relatively harsh on the skin, but this one is super gentle. Just saturate a cotton pad with this water and press at any spots with tough-to-remove makeup. After a couple of seconds, sweep it away and your makeup should be all gone.

7. Missha Near Skin Simple Therapy Essence Lotion

If you have sensitive skin and love K-beauty then the Missha Near Skin Simple Therapy Essence Lotion is likely already your go-to essence. It’s well loved because its  2-in-1 combination of essence and lotion works to add an extra layer of protection to your skin from environmental stressors. The formula is also super lightweight but still supremely hydrating because it’s infused with glycerin, which is a natural humectant that helps bind moisture to the skin. On top of this, other ingredients include dill extract and camellia japonica oil to help to balance and soothe the skin.
The pump bottle makes it super easy to apply. After toning, just squirt one or two pumps onto the palm of your hand and gently pat it onto your face and neck.
