When popular Korean retailer Aland opened its first US Flagship store in Williamsburg, Brooklyn this summer, you can be sure we were dying to see it for ourselves. This trendy Korean company is known to carry a wide variety of cool and cute clothing for all budgets. Keep reading for our favorite fall picks that all cost under $100.
Aland was founded 13 years ago by two sisters, Kinam Jung and Jung Eun Jung, who opened their first shop near Hongik University in Seoul. Although the store’s roots are small, it’s become a household name among the young and hip and is finally expanding west. In one of her videos, popular YouTuber Joan Kim describes Aland as the “Urban Outfitters of Korea”. She raves that the retailer is “super trendy” and that it carries a wide variety of brands. Be it high-end, affordable, or vintage, there’s something for everyone.
After visiting the Brooklyn location for the first time earlier this month, we can confirm this to be true. The store boasts two floors. The first is dedicated to bags, wallets, sunglasses, skin care (!), and other accessories. The second is full of stylish men’s and women’s clothing.
