This $38 Wrinkle-Reducing Eye Cream Beat Sisley’s $210 Formula in a Blind Test

In case you needed further proof that more expensive does not mean better, we found a K-beauty eye cream that out-performed the very luxurious Sisley Sisleÿa L’Integral Anti-Age Eye and Lip Contour Cream – and it costs $187 less.

Finding a perfect holy grail eye cream is no easy feat. If a product is too thick, it can cause milia or cause your makeup to slide around. Too light and you may wonder if the product you spent your hard-earned cash on is doing anything at all. Then there’s the fact that a lot of us have very high – and dare we say unrealistic – expectations for eye cream. Dark circles and eye bags? They better be erased! Crow’s feet? Plumped and filled, please.
Considering the above, eye cream may not be high on your list of splurge-worthy items. Luckily, you don’t need to drop major dollars to find one that actually provides results. Enter: The Swanicoco Fermentation Peptine Eye Care Cream.
RELATED: Why Your Eye Cream Isn’t Working
The eye cream ($38) was not only featured in a 2018 episode of Get It Beauty (a popular Korean television show that ranks skin care products based on blind tests), but it was crowned the top performing anti-aging formula over more expensive products from Sisley ($210) and Biotherm ($57).
For the episode, participants blindly tested five top eye creams (including those mentioned above) for 28 days. The wrinkles near their eyes were measured before and after use and it was determined that the Swanicoco formula improved lines by 24.38% compared to 13.97% for Biotherm’s, and 9.58% for Sisley’s. swanicoco-eye-cream
So what makes the Fermentation Peptine Eye Care Cream so good? For starters, it’s packed with potent anti-aging ingredients including collagen, EGF (epidermal growth factor), ginseng root, adenosine, and eight concentrated peptides.
Peptides are an especially amazing anti-aging ingredient because they promote collagen production, which is what firms skin, plumps up existing wrinkles, and prevents new lines from forming.
And the eye cream doesn’t just focus on wrinkles. The over-achieving formula is also a great choice for those looking to diminish the appearance of dark circles. It contains brightening niacinamide and lemon peel ferment extract. Plus, armed with hyaluronic acid, the cream is an effective hydrator.
Despite its stacked formula, the texture is lightweight and fast-absorbing.

Bottom Line

While $38 for an eye cream is not exactly what we’d call a steal, between the robust, multi-tasking formula and the 20ml tube (for comparison, the Sisley eye cream is 15ml) you do get a lot of bang for your buck. If you’ve struggled to find “the one” when it comes to eye cream, the Swanicoco Fermentation Peptine Eye Care Cream is a solid option.
