The Klog: You’ve created such incredible looks including Meghan Markle’s polished yet radiant wedding makeup. Can you describe your aesthetic and how skin care fits into it?
Daniel: My point of view has always been about beautiful, radiant skin and skin first. I like drawing the details to either the eyes or lips afterwards. When you’re comfortable in your own skin, that confidence comes through, allowing what you dress up in as your statement piece…like a piece of jewelry!
What pro tips can you share for someone who’s looking for flawless wedding day-ready skin?
Whatever you decide, it must reflect who you are in that moment. You can’t be too trendy with your makeup because when you look back at those images 10 years from now, you don’t want them to be dated.
Have you learned any great skin care tips from any of your celebrity clients?
I’ve learned so many over the years! One trick I’ve learned from my friend and client Nina Dobrev is dunking your face in ice before makeup. This wakes up your skin and instantly de-puffs!

People truly understanding how to take care of their skin! We’ve spent so many years piling it on, and women have had enough. They’re embracing that less is actually more!
