Cetyl Alcohol

Alcohols in skin care have a bad rap, however not all of them are stripping. Cetyl alcohol is one of few “fatty” alcohols. There alcohols are often used as emollients in skin care formulations. 

Benefits: This ingredient works to smooth and soften the skin. As an emollient, it also prevents water loss and helps our skin barrier to retain optimal moisture levels.
