Curious how the double cleanse removes stubborn Halloween makeup better than any other method? Watch the video below!
Halloween is a great time to experiment with cool makeup looks and really transform yourself. Even if you aren’t a habitual makeup wearer, it’s that one time of year you really go all in. We’re talking face paint, false lashes, fake blood, and glitter galore.
Although it’s definitely an excuse to indulge in special effects makeup and face paint, it’s not excuse to skimp on skin care! Halloween makeup can be irritating, especially to acne-prone or sensitive skin.
Halloween makeup sets sold at party store chains often contain intense coloring, artificial fragrance, dyes, and oils that can easily irritate the skin. Beyond this, the glues and adhesive used to stick fake noses, lashes, and gems to the face can clog pores! The same goes for the petroleum based fake blood on the market!
Because a lot of the Halloween cream pigments and adhesives currently on the market can irritate the barrier and cause clogged pores, it’s incredibly important to take off all of these products at the end of the night.
After all, with makeup, how you take it off is just as important as how you put it on!
So, here at The Klog we did a side by side test of a traditional makeup wipe and the double cleanse.
For the makeup look, we used Peripera Wholly Deep Jewel Pot and Clio Waterproof Pen Liner. The Jewel Pot shadow was perfect for a super glittery, over the top look when layered with Too Cool For School Glam Rock Eyeshadow.
For the double cleanse, we used Banila Co Clean It Zero Purity, followed by the super gentle Klairs Rich Moist Foaming Cleanser.
We love this combo for when we have to remove a lot of makeup since Klairs is delicate enough for super sensitive skin but tough enough for eyelash glue and heavy pigments. Then I Met You’s Cleansing Duo, as well as Hanskin’s PHA cleansing line, are also great ways to conduct a solid cleanse that focuses on deep, gentle cleansing!
Be sure to give your skin the attention it deserves this year and try out the double cleansing method to remove your makeup!
