biggest questions about acne

Welcome to Klog Chat, a series where we ask you to tell us how you do skin care and beauty. Here, we want you to share your biggest questions about acne. What are you most confused about when it comes to treating acne?

Happy February! It’s the second month of the new year and we’re devoting it to acne, in that we’re going to release a whole slew of content that helps you get rid of your pimples and help prevent blemishes from popping up. To kick this month off, we’d like to ask you to share your most perplexing acne questions in the comments section below.
After reading countless articles, doing your own research, and maybe even going to a derm, what’s the one thing about treating and preventing acne that you’re still confused about? For Renee, it’s all about how to prevent her blackheads from popping up the very next day after she removes them (We’ll have an article with the answer coming out soon!)
Tina is also confused about blackheads. She asks: “Do I have to extract my blackheads or would they naturally get worse if I don’t do anything about it?” She also wonders about extracting them (because let’s be honest, we all don’t wait until our next facial to get rid of those black dots), and whether using blackhead tweezers or a comedone remover is the better and safer tool. Stay tuned for the answer to this.
The Klog’s content intern Katherine asks: “What ingredients are best for cystic acne?” And Marissa, The Klog’s social media intern, wants to know whether having an IUD will affect her hormonal acne.
