Products that are equal parts effective, affordable, and impossibly cute are not a common occurrence stateside. But in the world of K-beauty, the three characteristics are not mutually exclusive, which is one of the reasons so many are drawn to brands coming out of Seoul.
One of the latest launches to possess this trifecta of attributes is the new Missha X LINE Friends collaboration.
If you’re not familiar, LINE is a Japanese messaging app that’s popular all over Asia and even in the U.S. – it boasts over 700 million users. One of its most beloved features is its emoji-like stickers that users can send to each other. LINE Friends, a group of adorable animal characters, are among the sticker offerings and are the most prevalent by far.
To understand the scope of their popularity – these characters have inspired anime series, stores, a hotel, a theme park, and of course, beauty products.
Missha, one of our longtime favorite K-beauty brands has collaborated with LINE Friends in the past, but we’re especially excited about their latest because it’s available in the U.S.
The 30-piece range contains colorful, everyday products like makeup wipes, BB cream, and lip tints that showcase these cherished characters, which include Brown and Choco, cuddly bears, Cony, a pink-cheeked rabbit, Sally, a yellow chick, and many more.
Some standouts in the collection are the bubblegum pink Glow Tension cushion compact that is accessorized with Choco’s bow-topped face and the electric blue Love Secret Hand Cream that has a dreamy grapefruit scent and is dotted with playful Brown-inspired illustrations.
