The Toner That Changed My Skin In One Week

Klairs Supple Preparation Facial Toner Review

The Klairs Supple Preparation Facial Toner breaks the common misconception that toners are just “fancy waters” that end up drying out your skin. Learn from the experience of a very skeptical (and stubborn) skin care enthusiast how this single product can really do wonders for your skin in record time.

I can say that I take my skin care very seriously. Even before it was something 100% “socially accepted” by my friends (who used to think I was being way too dramatic for caring about my skin’s health and looks before even hitting the 20s) I was putting serums, eye creams, and anti-aging formulas onto my face religiously every day and night. But until a few weeks ago I must admit I didn’t get the whole excitement about one specific skin care category: toners. That is, until I came across the Klairs Supple Preparation Facial Toner.

It’s not like I haven’t even given toners a try. I actually tried a looot of them (no kidding here, like 20, maybe 30?) and every single one ended up either in the depth of my beauty cabinet or at a friend’s house. Some would dry out my skin, others wouldn’t make a difference, honestly. But that was fine. I was already using different formulas, so I got to a point where I thought “why bother? Maybe I don’t even need them.”

When I first picked up the Klairs Supple Preparation Facial Toner I was, of course, very skeptical. And so I stayed even after hearing Charlotte talking about its amazing properties and reading tons of reviews from savvy Korean women. But it took only two days of use for me to fall in love with this guy.

Its gentle formula is infused with hyaluronic acid and non-irritating, botanical extracts like aloe, centella asiatica and althaea rosea flower to do way more than just sweeping away remaining impurities laying on your face: It reduces inflammation, hydrates, soothes, and protects the skin in a way you can not only feel but see (finally!).

I must admit I also love its consistency: not as light and watery as other toners I’ve tried before, but not as viscous as an essence, which makes it so much easier to apply without a cotton pad (extra points for not having to worry about drippings). Here is how I do it: I put five drops—yup, five are more than enough—into my hands and pat it gently all over my face and neck. And may I just reinforce how great it feels? It’s so refreshing, so soothing! It’s almost like if I could see my skin soaking in all its nutrients in a matter of seconds. Not to mention it does make the products I use after absorb way more quickly and thoroughly.

I’ve been using the Klairs Supple Preparation Facial Toner at least twice a day (add an extra one if I exercise) for a week now and I noticed a visible difference in my skin: My pores are tighter, my breakouts and acne scars have been clearing up much faster, and my skin is looking brighter and a bit more glow-y too, even with the season’s change. Truth is I can’t wait to see what else this magic formula can bring to me.
