The Double Serum Dry Skin Will Crave

Goodal Keratina Anti-Aging Double Serum

If all year long your skin is as dry as all of the deserts in the world combined, you need to give the Goodal Keratina Anti-Aging Double Serum a try. Here’s why…

Just in case it wasn’t clear in the sentences above, I have really dry skin. I have the kind of dry skin that sops up a hydrating face mask in ten minutes like it’s just a regular moisturizer. So I need and love products that deliver ultimate hydration. And when I say ultimate hydration, I mean products that make my skin actually feel infused with water and moisture (and for longer than an hour). The Goodal Keratina Anti-Aging Double Serum does this ten times over.
First off, this product is not your regular serum—it’s a double serum, which means it’s actually two products in one. When you pick up the bottle and look at it closely you’ll see it has two layers: On the top you’ll see the clear serum and on the bottom you’ll see a layer of oil. You’ve got to shake it up to fuse the two layers together and then pump it out onto your palm.
The difference a double serum makes:
I don’t know about you, but I’ve never tried a serum that’s also been infused with oil, so I was pretty excited to see what this was going to be like. Turns out, if you have dry skin, it’s basically one of the best things ever. I patted in two pumps of the Goodal Keratina Anti-Aging Double Serum all over my face and it felt like no other serum I’ve used before. Previously, regular serums would just immediately soak into my parched skin, which made me feel like I needed to use copious amounts of it to make sure it would do anything.
It’s a different story with this Goodal double serum. Immediately after patting it in, I can tell it’s the real deal. It almost feels like a slightly lighter version of a facial oil but heavy enough that it immediately plumps up my skin and fills it with hydration. It’s so intensely moisturizing that I can’t just move on to my moisturizer right after putting it on—I need to wait a good ten minutes to let it sink into my skin (which I love because I can actually feel it hydrating). In fact, I almost don’t need to use a moisturizer after putting on the Goodal Keratina Anti-Aging Double Serum because the oil leaves a nice barrier that could serve as a moisturizer on days when I’m not so dry.
One thing to note: Since this is a super heavy serum, it does feel heavy on your skin, so if you have even slightly oily skin, I would suggest trying the Goodal Keratina Anti-Aging Double Serum Light, which is a version of this double serum with less oil content.

The ingredients:
The Goodal Keratina Anti-Aging Double Serum is packed with plant extracts that perform magic for a variety of skin concerns. The first ingredient is strawberry fruit extract, which contains a good amount of vitamin C and works to add brightness to revive dull skin. It’s also what helps gives this serum its delicious scent. If you like the smell of fresh, sweet floral berries, you’ll love putting this serum on every night. It’s super calming and reminds me of smelling my mom’s expensive face creams when I was young.
Goodal says that the formula in this serum helps promote the turnover of keratin (the outermost layer of you skin that helps hold cells together), which will help improve skin texture and reduce the appearance of fine lines. This is reflected in the ingredient list: Sunflower seed oil has emollient properties to help skin retain moisture, jojoba seed oil helps keep sebum production in control and also has emollient properties, and apple seed oil helps stimulate collagen production. The Goodal Keratina Anti-Aging Double Serum also has niacinamide in it—an ingredient proven to reduce the appearance of large pores and brighten skin.
The final word:
After using the serum every other night for a good two weeks, I loved how it hugged my skin all night and made sure no moisture was lost. In the mornings after, I noticed that my skin was supremely hydrated and looked super bright. It didn’t do much for the fine lines on my forehead. At 27, I need a strong acid to do that job (something like the Cosrx Triple C Lightning Liquid).
I would recommend this serum for only people with really dry skin—it’s really oily and it does take a good amount of time to seep into skin, so those with even slightly oily skin will find that it’s too much for them. But if you are really dry and need something to immediately infuse hydration and bring your skin tone back to normalcy, this will be a godsend (it especially helped bring back moisture and calm my skin down after a bad experience with a product containing high levels of glycolic acid).
Overall, the Goodal Keratina Anti-Aging Double Serum is a dry skin savior that will keep skin plump and moisturized during the winter and will save your skin when it gets dried out from too much sun during the summer.
