Klog Chat: Would You Go Foundation Free?

Welcome to Klog Chat, a series on The Klog where we ask you to tell us how you do skin care and beauty. Today we’re wondering: What are your thoughts on the foundation free movement?

#nofilter, #nomakeup. How many times have you seen that and thought, there’s no way? Natural beauty is thankfully very in right now, but let’s be honest, who doesn’t use a dab of BB cream here and there.
The #nomakeup movement started about two years ago, pioneered by celebrities like Alicia Keys and Demi Lovato.

Recently, more and more people, including influencers like Michelle Phan, have been embracing the #foundationfree movement. #foundationfree is a balance of light makeup with no full coverage foundation or BB cream.

Now people all over the world are jumping on this foundation-less band wagon—embracing every little bump, mark, and wrinkle. Truth be told, even for the biggest makeup and cosmetics enthusiasts, it’s refreshing to see bare skin (no hate against wearing a lot of makeup, you do you!).
This week at The Klog we are diving head first into this #foundationfree challenge to see what is so great about this social media sensation. And we want to know what you think. We’re asking…

Does going a week without foundation really improve your skin? What about a whole year? If you’ve gone foundation free, how did it change your skin and your approach to makeup? Share your story in the comments below!
