Our Muse: Sharon of the Pink Diary

SHARON IS:

The 20-something-year-old behind the whimsical lifestyle blog, The Pink Diary. In just six months her signature outfit vignettes (and love for desserts) caught the attention of over 236K followers on Instagram. We also can’t get enough of her super stylish snapshots, so we caught up with her here.

ON STARTING THE PINK DIARY:

“I have no background in fashion but always had a passion for art. I came across Atlantic-Pacific’s blog and was amazed by her ability to style her outfits flawlessly. I joined Instagram shortly after and used my imagination to curate outfits and images. I was genuinely surprised at the response I received and started my own blog where I could expand my creativity.”

ON HER FAVORITE OUTFIT:

“I actually prefer to dress casually. To tell you the truth I dread dressing up. I would rather be in sweats and I will always choose flats over heels any day!”

ON HER MAKEUP ROUTINE:

“I tend to stick to the same look but recently I have been playing around with my lip and cheek colors. I’ve been leaning more towards peachy and coral colors. Currently, my YSL Sheer Candy in Dewy Papaya has been my everyday lip color but I go back and forth with Etude House Cherry Lip Tint.  Sometimes I go for the dewy “no makeup, makeup look,” but normally I like the matte look with my own version of a cat eye.”

ON HER BEAUTY INSPIRATIONS:

“I love flipping through magazines and skimming on Pinterest for beauty inspiration. The Beauty Department is also a great website to get beauty tips! I always look forward to red carpet events to see Rooney Mara’s makeup because she always looks flawless. I’m also a huge fan of Korean makeup because they have that “no-makeup makeup look” on point. Song Hye Kyo, Kim So Eun and Park Shin Hye are Korean actresses that I get my beauty inspiration from.”

ON KOREAN BEAUTY:

“I’ve been very faithful to Bobbi Brown and Benefit, but recently started incorporating Korean cosmetics back into my makeup routine and discovered two game changers. I love the 3CE cream blush (gorgeous coral color with a great pay off) and Clio’s Pen Liner (comparable to my holy grail Lancome Art Liner but at a fraction of the price).”

ON BAD HAIR DAYS:

“I go online for some retail therapy or go get some fro-yo.”
