Open Thread: How Do You Respect Your Skin?

By January 4, 2017

At the beginning of each year, it’s now become a tradition for everyone to come together on The Klog and talk about their personal skin story through our Respect Your Skin campaign. And we look forward to it every year. Looking back, we’ve received hundreds of comments in 2015 and 2016 with people who were willing to share their skincare journey with us, from what products really worked for them and how their skin has transformed.

We don’t host many open threads on The Klog, but this is the one we look forward to because it accomplishes two important things: First, it encourages newbies who are interested in dabbling in the world of K-beauty to jump in and join us. (We’re not crazy, we’re just well-informed!) Secondly, we’re a community that absolutely adores and takes delight in K-beauty or a multi-step skincare routine, so any chance to obsess over other people’s routines is a welcome one.

This year is no different. We’d love to continue on this tradition and ask you about your skin journey. First-time commentators to long-time readers, we’re looking at you to share the following:

  • What’s your skin type and concern?
  • How did you find out about K-beauty?
  • How long you’ve been working on your skincare routine what you use and what products do you love and enjoy?
  • What’s the most memorable part of your journey? i.e. We love, love, love hearing about how your skin transformed! It’s so inspiring!
  • What are your game-changers, your holy grails?

Skincare is a very personal journey, there is no one-size fits-all routine. But it’s always, always fun to peek into the routines of people in our community and get some advice from the people who may have the same skin struggles and skin type as you.

And as always, there’s a perk to sharing your story with us: Two lucky winners will receive a $50 gift card to Soko Glam! Share now until the end of January 2017 to qualify. Winners will be announced here, on Feb 1st!

Can’t wait to hear your stories!
