The Cleansing Water That Cuts Your Skin Care Routine in Half

By April 3, 2017

For the lazy skin care girls out there, the Klavuu Pure Pearlsation Marine Collagen Micro Cleansing Water is for you. It’s a do-it-all that cleanses, tones and hydrates the skin—working to cut your skin care routine in half. Find out why the Klavuu Pure Pearlsation Marine Collagen Micro Cleansing Water has quickly become my new go-to cleansing water.

Cleansing waters have risen in popularity the last couple of years for good reason. These multi-purpose products are perfect for those days when you can’t be bothered to do a whole routine.

While I strongly advocate for the double cleansing routine, sometimes I’m way too lazy to double cleanse in the morning. Instead I tend to reach for a gentle cleansing water which will rid my skin of any impurities that built up overnight (while also toning and hydrating the skin). Even so, I’ve never run across a cleansing water that made me want to scream holy grail until I came across the Klavuu Pure Pearlsation Marine Collagen Micro Cleansing Water.

Ingredient breakdown:

My love with this cleansing water began with the ingredient list (if you’re not sure how to read those, we created an easy to use guide here). It’s packed with skin loving nutrients that work to deeply cleanse, brighten, and nourish. The micro particles that make up this cleansing water work to attach to makeup, oil and any other skin impurities to reach deep down into the pores and clean them out. Saccharomyces ferment filtrate (a favorite of mine) and marine collagen work in tandem to speed up cell turnover to reveal a more even skin texture (as well as firm and improve skin elasticity).

Hydrolyzed pearl extract is another star ingredient found in the Klavuu Pure Pearlsation Marine Collagen Micro Cleansing Water. Pearls are well known in Korean skin care as an ancient secret to a glowing and bright complexion, and I’ve got to say, those ancient Korean got it right because after a couple days of use my skin was definitely sporting a brighter and more even complexion. Bring in the aloe barbadensis leaf and rosa damascena flower which work to soothe and moisturize the skin, and you’ve got a calmer and cleaner look. I have sensitive skin and it’s worth to note that no matter what cleansing water I use, my face ends up turning slightly red during the cleansing process but with this one I didn’t get any reaction. So, sensitive skin types: This cleansing water is for you!

How to use it:

Remember: When it comes to choosing a cleansing water, it’s all about maximizing your cleansing water to its fullest potential. And if you’re looking for a cleanser, makeup remover and a toner all in one, this one fits the bill. I put it to the test three ways to see if it lived up to its potential. First, as a standalone cleanser in the mornings, then as a makeup remover at night, and finally, as a post-cleansing balancing toner.

This cleansing water saved me tons of time and energy in the mornings when I used it to cleanse. I soaked a cotton pad with a bit of the product and gently swiped it across my face, neck and décolletage. It left my face feeling refreshed without any greasy residue (plus a nice boost of hydration!).

As a makeup remover, the Klavuu Pure Pearlsation Marine Collagen Micro Cleansing Water is a step above the rest. Most cleansing waters do a decent job at removing my overall face makeup but still tend to leave the dreaded raccoon eyes behind. This one made eye makeup removal a breeze. I cleansed my skin with at least 2-3 soaked cotton pads and this cleansing water effectively and efficiently worked to gently remove all the makeup. Here’s how great the Klavuu Pure Pearlsation Marine Collagen Micro Cleansing Water is at removing makeup:

Need an extra boost of moisture? Use this cleansing water after your double cleanse in place or in addition to your current toner. The aloe and rose will deeply hydrate and soothe the skin, creating a smooth canvas for the yummy skin ingredients you plan to place on it after.

The bottom line:

At a super affordable price of $17 for 250 ml, you definitely get what you pay for—a cleansing water that deep cleans and leaves your skin with a dewy finish. I especially liked how simple and easy it was to use the Klavuu Pure Pearlsation Marine Collagen Micro Cleansing Water. Freeing my face from all of my makeup at the end of the day didn’t feel as time consuming as it usually does, and my mornings became way less rushed—especially on those days where I hit the snooze button too many times.
